Margo Villarosa, Kayla Moorer and Jeremy Noble are co-authors on a paper recently accepted for publication in the journal Psychology of Addictive Behaviors. They found that serious harm reduction strategies helped explain the relationship between social anxiety symptoms and alcohol-related negative consequences such that students who experienced more social anxiety symptoms tended to use fewer serious harm reduction strategies (e.g., using a designated driver) and as a result experienced more alcohol-related negative consequences. Margo Villarosa was the lead author on this paper.
