The book Dr. Madson co-authored with Dr. Julie Schumacher has be translated and published in Korean. This demonstrates the great interest in motivational interviewing.
Hallie Jordan, a second year doctoral student, presented research to the Division 17 Prevention Section at the American Psychological Association Conference in Washington DC. Congrats Hallie!
Mallorie Carrol, Asia Ashley, Hallie Jordan and Kray Scully presented research at the inaugural meeting of the Research Society on Marijuana. Carrol and Jordan presented work on the mediating effects of marijuana use motives in the relationship between PTSD and marijuana use outcomes. Ashley, Carroll and Scully presented on the mediating role of marijuana protective strategies in the relationship between PTSD and marijuana use outcomes. This work was part of the national Protective Strategies Research Team, a multi-university research group, that focuses on substance use and harm reduction among college students.
